Temple’s Oldest Scout Troop!

Troop 101 was first chartered in 1936 in Temple, and averages an 90% graduation rate of Eagle Scouts.

It is the mission of the Boy Scouts of America to serve others by helping to instill values in young people and, in other ways, to prepare them to make ethical choices during their lifetime in achieving their full potential. The values we strive to instill are based on those found in the Scout Oath and Law.

“Excellent Family Time “

The Scouts were awesome for my son who got his Eagle in 2019. We started when he was 5 and spent so much time together learning and growing. Those years will always hold special memories for us.

“Helped my son’s future”

I was so impressed to see how my son matured and grew over his time in the Scouts. Gaining his Eagle also helped him automatically gain a few extra ranks when he joined the military. I couldn’t be more proud of the man he’s become and that’s because of his time in the Scouts.

“Fantastic People”

I couldn’t believe when I found out that everyone here is a volunteer! They do all this for free and spend their extra hours helping to raise independent and strong kids who know how to handle themselves in the world. These people are pure gold!
